Important traffic update! On Saturday, October 3, we’re asking the community to help us transform local cancer care by sharing the road and Rum Runners Trail with over 900 BMO Ride for Cancer participants riding for local cancer care.

- BMO Ride for Cancer Road Route: From Hobsons Lake Drive, Bayers Lake to Chester, including the Aspotogan Loop, via Trunk 3.
- BMO Ride for Cancer Trail Route: Hobsons Lake Drive, Bayers Lake to Hubbards via the Rum Runners Trail.

Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Details: The 12th annual BMO Ride for Cancer will see over 1,000 cyclists and volunteers travelling between Bayers Lake and Chester on Saturday, October 3 as part of the event’s grand finale. Since 2015, BMO Ride for Cancer has raised over $15 million net (and counting!) for local cancer care at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
This event does not include road or trail closures, but we ask all cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians along Trunk 3 and the Rum Runners Trail to be patient and prepared to share the road and trail.
Among those riding and volunteering are cancer patients and survivors, their loved ones and healthcare teams — all united in support of improving care at Atlantic Canada’s largest and most specialized cancer treatment hospital. We hope communities along the routes will help keep them safe by sharing the road and trail, while cheering them on as they ride for the thousands of patients facing cancer in our region.
