PLEASE READ: CRITICAL EVENT DAY UPDATE

Our road and trail routes have been compromised due to the post-tropical storm, and as a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the cycling component of this Saturday’s BMO Ride for Cancer event.

While we will not ride, we will be coming together in-person on Saturday, September 23, from 10AM to 2PM, for our BMO Ride Celebration Festival – celebrating all you have accomplished and the life-changing impact you’re creating for local cancer patients and families, here at home. Click here to learn more about this decision, FAQs and exciting details and event schedule for our BMO Ride Celebration Festival.

BMO Ride for Cancer takes participants on some of the most scenic cycling routes that Nova Scotia has to offer. Whether you’re a seasoned road cyclist, a first-time rider, or any level in between, we have the perfect route for you!

On Saturday, September 23, participants will ride one of our six distance options on the scenic Rum Runners Trail or a road route alongside our beautiful coastline.

IMPORTANT TRAIL UPDATE

Our BMO Ride for Cancer team has been working closely with the Trail Associations since the devastating flash flooding that our province experienced earlier this summer. Unfortunately, a portion of the St. Margaret’s Bay trail from Station Road to Island View Drive will not be repaired in time for our event and will remain closed.

As a result, all 75km trail and 100km trail riders have been automatically reassigned to the 50km trail route. This portion of the trail has been repaired and is deemed safe for riders. This information was shared with all 75km trail and 100km trail participants via email and text on Saturday, September 9.

It’s important to note that these are the only two event distances that are impacted. Our six remaining routes – 25km trail, 50km trail, 75km road, 100km road, 130km road and 160km road – are all proceeding as planned.
