Our Volunteer Crew will join us for an unforgettable experience and participate in the behind-the-scenes action of Atlantic Canada’s largest cycling fundraising event. As part of our Volunteer Crew, we will provide you with an official Volunteer Crew short-sleeve shirt, shoe-string backpack, event day meals, and snacks. With many volunteer positions available, everyone can play an important role and help make a real impact on cancer care for Atlantic Canadians.
All volunteers must attend a brief orientation session leading up to the event. We want to set you up for success in your volunteer role and your epic journey with us.
Volunteer Opportunities
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 - EVENT DAY
PIT STOP LIAISON
As part of our PIT STOP CREW, you will be positioned along the road or trail route. Pit stops are designed for riders to stop for a hydration break, grab a snack, have lunch, use the restroom, or request other support. Your primary role will be to help support our riders in these areas as they stop on their way through and cheer them on along the way! It's important to note that these roles are located anywhere from Halifax to Chester. You must be able to provide your own transportation to and from your designated location.
LOGISTICS
As part of our LOGISTICS CREW, you will contribute to the event operations at our Event Grounds in Bayers Lake, ensuring everyone has a great experience from start to finish. Your role could include set-up, parking management, wayfinding support, start/finish line prep and execution, photo booth coordination, and medal distribution, to name a few. It's important to note that these roles are primarily stationed at and around our start/finish line location on Hobson Lake Drive in Bayers Lake.
We are pleased to welcome Atlantic Lottery as our Official Volunteer Sponsor. Atlantic Lottery is proud to support causes and events that make a positive impact on communities across Atlantic Canada — and are thrilled to support our Volunteer Crew this year.
